JLU Research Chat is no longer available.

This chat system was set up by the Bioinformatics Core Facility (BCF) as part of the Corona measures to enable easy communication within and, above all, with users outside the university.

The service has therefore been undergoing evaluation since then. The BCF has been asked to end the evaluation phase and start productive operation. However, this means that many of the simplifications for us as the operator will no longer apply. The current staffing situation at BCF cannot cover this additional demand, which is why we have discontinued operation of the Mattermost instance as of December 31, 2024. To ensure an orderly transition, we have continued to operate the server until March 31, 2025 and then shut down the systems.

The HRZ itself recommends the use of Microsoft Teams or Rainbow chat systems.
